Data view can be categorized into the following types based on its availability:

Local Data Views — contains all the data views that are only applicable to the current map page containing the involved devices. It includes the following two types:

oActivity Data Views () — generated by executing automation actions on a map. The details of each activity data view can be browsed when you apply it on a map.

oMap Data Views () generated by saving a data view within a map or sharing activity data views. The details of each map data view can be browsed in the Map Data View Manager.

Global Data Views () — contains all the data views that are applicable to any maps containing the involved devices in the current domain.
Example: Built-in Global Data Views generated by Built-in Scheduled Tasks.

See Multiple Ways to Generate Data Views for more details on how to generate an activity data view and a global data view.

Static Data Viewgenerated by running a Qapp or Instant Qapp for only once. Each data unit is single-valued.

Dynamic Data Viewgenerated by running a Qapp or Instant Qapp periodically. Each data unit is vector-valued. After applying the data view on the map, you can click one of the data unit (int or float) to browse its trend during the running cycle in a line chart. See Overall Health Monitor for more details.
