Building Adaptive Monitoring System to Scale Your Automation

Adaptive Monitoring system is an intelligent trigger that enables various types of automation without human intervention. Adaptive Monitoring system leverages the flash probes as monitoring units to detect the data anomaly occurred on a single device via SNMP/CLI data polling and advanced anomaly analysis algorithms. As soon as an anomaly is detected, the system will take immediate action to execute the pre-defined network intents.

Note: In addition to the built-in flash probe, the adaptive monitoring system can also be integrated with the 3rd party monitoring systems instead of frequently polling from the live network. See Defining API Triggered Flash Automation for more details.

By executing device-level automation (triggered by flash probe), the system can handle massive automation resources. Each NetBrain user can create and upload their own automation resources and the automation results can be viewed across the entire team via the decision tree or the adaptive monitoring data view.

Note: The entire adaptive monitoring automation is controlled by IBA license module. Without the IBA license, you will not be able to use any adaptive monitoring and triggered automaton functions, and only the default timer-based flash probe high/medium/low frequency can be used for scheduling CLI commands.

The key use flow to build an adaptive monitoring automation system consists of the following steps:

1.Defining Flash Probe

2.Installing Network Intent to Flash Probe

3.Viewing Adaptive Monitoring Results
