Schedule Benchmark Tasks
The Basic System Benchmark Task is an essential built-in task that keeps your network data up to date. It regularly collects live data as baselines to build topology and calculate paths, dynamic device groups, sites, and MPLS Virtual Route Tables. The network data to be retrieved are predefined in the task, and the task will be executed on all your domain devices by default. The benchmark task performs the following subtasks:
- Collect Live Data and Update Baseline Data
Through System Benchmark, NetworkBrain regularly collects the live data for network devices in the domain and updates the baseline data accordingly. The data and device scope can be customized and defined in the task.
- Build Topologies
System Benchmark rebuilds L2 and L3 topology based on the latest baseline data, which is essential to keep the maps accurate and up to date.
- Update System Data
In additional operations, System Benchmark updates system data such as MPLS Cloud, Public Cloud, device groups, sites and paths using the latest baseline date to keep them accurate.
