Create a Benchmark Task

Besides the built-in Basic System Benchmark, you can also create new Benchmark tasks, breaking down the network documentation and data gathering for different groups of devices into separate tasks. Here are some possible reasons to have multiple Benchmark tasks:

• Different teams in different time zones manage different types of network devices.
• Some devices may have more frequent changes than others
• Some networks have large MPLS cloud and big tables that take a long time to retrieve during Basic System Benchmark

Follow the steps below to create a Benchmark Task:

1. Log in to the Domain Management page.
2. On the Domain Management page, click Schedule Task on the Start Page.
3. In the Schedule Task tab, click Add Benchmark Task to open the following dialog box.
   
4. Enter the task name and the description.
5. Follow the tabs in the workflow to configure the benchmark task. See Setup a Benchmark Task for more details.
6. Click Submit. The newly added task is enabled by default.
