Compare Network Data Changes

The Comparison feature enables you to analyze network data across two time periods to identify changes. It automatically visualizes and highlights differences between two data sets, helping you quickly locate changes that may be the root cause of network issues.

Supported Data Types for Comparison: You can compare the following types of network data:

  • Configuration files and parser variables
  • CLI command outputs and parser variables
  • Data tables such as Routing table, ARP table, NDP table, NCT table, MAC table and so on.

Comparison Methods

The system supports two types of comparison:

  1. Compare Data of the Same Device at Two Time PointsCompare a device’s data between two time points (e.g., baseline vs. live data).

Example: Compare the configuration file or route table of a single device between the baseline and the live data.

  2. Compare Data between Two Devices at One Time PointCompare data between two neighbor devices at the same point in time.

Example: Compare OSPF network types between two neighboring devices in the initial state.
