Create a Map From Scratch

Follow the steps below to create a map. After you create the map, you can enhance it as needed.

1. Click the icon on the taskbar, and then select New Map to open a blank map page.
   
   

   Tip: You can also create a new map file on your Desktop, or map devices from search results.

2. To add devices to the Map, click Site or Network on the taskbar, or select Device Group from the start menu  .
   
   

3. Press Ctrl or Shift to select one or more devices, and then drag them onto the map. By default, the system automatically connects devices that have neighbor relationships in IPv4 Layer 3 topology.
   
   

4. Click the icon at the upper-right corner of a device icon to extend its neighbors on the Map. For more information, see Extending Neighbors.
   
   

5. Click the  icon to save the map. For more information, see Save the Map.
