Map Tools and Keyboard Shortcut

Learn map tools and keyboard shortcuts to become a pro at NetBrain maps.

Map Tool

Click Map on the Map Toolbar to open the toolbox.

	Editing Rights: Automatically release Editing Rights when close map: Enable automatically release Editing Rights when close the map Transfer Editing Rights: Transfer editing rights to other user.
	Lock a map with/Without password. See Lock a Map for more details.
	Map Device Layout: Provide two modes to control whether the map can be directly edited. Edit Mode: Users can edit the map. View Mode: Users cannot edit the map. If users try to edit the map, an error message will appear.

	Path Legend: View paths associated with the current Map.
	Undo	Ctrl + Z
	Redo	Ctrl + Y
	Select Mode Free-hand Select: The default mode. You can click the desired map objects and adjust them at will. Area Select: Select map objects by dragging your mouse to select an area.	N/A
	Search: direct to the search bar
	Save: Save the current map.	Ctrl + S
	Save As: Save a copy of the current Map with a different map name.
	Print	Ctrl + P
	Copy Map URL: Copy the URL of the current Map.

Hold the Ctrl key while selecting map objects.

Bulk select map objects by object type, such as sites or devices belonging to the same device type.

Hold the Shift key while selecting a map object belonging to the target type.

Select map objects by area

Hold the left mouse button for 2 seconds at least, and then select an area.

Select all objects on a Map

Move map objects

Move the whole Map

Drag your mouse while holding the left mouse button, or press the Arrow key (↑↓←→).

Move specific objects

Selecting the objects, and then press the Arrow key (↑↓←→) or drag the objects with the mouse.

	Tip: To finely move map objects, select them and then press Alt + Arrow keys (↑↓←→) after selecting them.
