Manage Domain Essential
After discovering your network and scheduling the benchmark task to keep the digital twin updated on the current network status, you finish the initial step to set up the domain. However, your network keeps changing, and it is essential to maintain a domain with all devices properly discovered and accessible, ensuring data accuracy. We recommend you check and maintain the domain health at least once weekly or whenever a discovery/benchmark task is completed.
Data Accuracy provides an overview of how devices are discovered and where you can get started to fix all the access issues. The devices listed in each category are updated as soon as a discovery task, or a benchmark task is completed. You can fix the following issues with Data Accuracy Resolution.
- Resolve CLI access
- Discover Missing devices
- Resolve Unknown SNMP objects
- Resolve Unknown IP
- Resolve Hostname Change
- Manage Device Credential Change
If your device credentials change (for example, the password rotations), you must modify the network setting (or shared device setting directly) and run Tune Live Access for the affected devices.
- Manage Data Accuracy with Data Accuracy Discovery
Data Accuracy Discovery provides a central place to monitor and resolve device data accuracy issues with minimum effort. You can open Data Accuracy Discovery from the map, view all data accuracy issues via devices and follow the recommended actions to fix these issues. Especially you can create an Open Driver to fix the data parsing issues yourself.
- Manage Open Topology
Version 10.1 introduces a new framework, Open Topology (OT), to calculate the L3 and L2 topology. OT is an open process to incorporate the user’s input in the different stages and is easier to maintain. You can do the following with OT:
- Add, delete, and edit the topology links
- Resolve duplicated IP issues
- Define MPLS and Internet Cloud
- Define Discover and Black MAC
- Set up the data clean and ensure that the system has enough disk space.
