Automation Data Table (ADT)

Automation Data Table (ADT) is an extended global data table for managing the critical network assets and network intents associated with those network assets. ADT is designed to provide users with two capabilities:

  • Use ADT to build, organize and share intents across the network: Customize more network automation assets in Automation Data Table Manager, such as critical Application and Path, critical WAN Link, critical Device Failover, critical Subnet, and critical Route, then associate intents and diagnosis result for troubleshooting network problem.
  • ADT is a database for intents, supporting intent creation and replication. The system provides two methods (Base Table and Column Group) in Automation Data Table Builder to build the basic table data and create and bind the intent for each automation asset.

The following diagram illustrates how an ADT looks like. See Key Components of Automation Data Table for more details.

The following diagram illustrates how to create Automation Data Table.

  • Initialize ADT by Base Table Builder: Build ADT base table via the 8 methods provided in system.
  • Enrich ADT by Column Group: Dynamically add new columns to the base table by associating data from intents, probe, path intent, other resource properties.
  • Enable Auto-Build: Rebuild ADT data as scheduled.
  • Manually Adjust ADT: Add table row and table column according to your needs.
  • Tag Automation Column for PDAS: Assign tag to automation intent column and map column to quickly find the intent and map in ADT later.
