Deploying and Installing System

Select an appropriate way to deploy the system based on your network scale and locations.

Combined OVA Deployment

The combined deployment requires one Windows server for applications and one virtual machine for the database. Install the system components in the following order:

1.Use OVA File to Install NetBrain Database Server.

2.Install NetBrain Application Server on Windows.

Standard Two-Server Deployment

The two-server deployment requires one Windows server for applications and one Linux server for the database. Install the system components in the following order:

1.Install NetBrain Database Server on Linux.

2.Install NetBrain Application Server on Windows.

Distributed Deployment

The distributed deployment method is flexible for mid-range and large networks, requiring more machines to provide more scalability and resiliency. Install the system components in the following order:

1.Install MongoDB on Linux.

2.Install Elasticsearch on Linux.

3.Install License Agent on Linux.

4.Install Redis on Linux.

5.Install RabbitMQ on Linux.

4.Install Service Monitor Agent.

5.Install Web/Web API Server on Windows.

6.Install Worker Server on Windows.

6.Install Task Engine on Windows.

7.Install Front Server Controller on Windows.

8. Install Front Server.

High Availability

HA deployment is only applicable to an environment within one data center, aiming to prevent the single point of failure (SPOF) on applications, virtual or physical machines. Contact NetBrain Support Team for further assistance.

Note: To avoid unexpected clock synchronization issues, it is highly recommended to configure Network Timing Protocol (NTP) client on the machines where NetBrain servers will be installed. See Configuring NTP Client on NetBrain Servers for more details.
