Install Smart CLI on Ubuntu
Prerequisites
Install a graphical user interface (GUI) on the Ubuntu server.
Install Smart CLI
Example: Install Smart CLI on a GNOME (GNU Network Object Model Environment).
- Log in to the Ubuntu server, open the NetBrain login page and download the Smart CLI installation package to a local directory.
Tip: You can also download the Smart CLI installation package from the system's main UI or by right-clicking a device on a map.
- A Download NetBrain Smart CLI window pops up:
- To auto-download: Click Download, the download webpage will open, and the download will start automatically.
- To download manually: Click Open Website, the download webpage will open, and you can perform the download from the download button at the top or by clicking an appropriate download link in the table.
- Extract installation files from the netbrain-smartcli-ubuntu-12.1.zip file.
- Right-click the netbrain-smartcli-ubuntu-12.1.deb file, and select Open With Software Install.
- On the netbrain-smart-cli-ubuntu window, click Install.
- Enter the system password and click Authenticate to complete authentication.
- When the installation is complete, click
in the desktop to show applications.
- If unable to locate the app, type NetBrain Smart CLI in the search bar to locate it.
