Open a Device Group Map

Once a device group is created, the corresponding device group map is generated and named with the device group name.

Information Note: The auto-generated device group map shows L3 topology by default. To add L2 or other topology links, right-click a blank space of the map to pull out the Map Setting, and then click Auto Link to select the link you need. For more information, see Auto Link.
  1. Click the start menu  and select Device Group.
  2. Information Tip: You can also double-click a device group icon on a map to open the device group map.
  3. In the Device Group pane, expand the device group tree and right-click the target device group to select Open Group Map. A map page opens, and all devices in the device group are displayed on the map.

The Difference between Open Group MapDraw Devices on Map, and Draw Group on Map:

    • Open Group Map: Opens the automatically generated map for a device group, showing all devices and their connections.
    • Draw Devices on Map: Adds the devices from a device group to the current map. If no map is open, a new map is created with the devices and their Layer 3 (L3) topology links.
    • Draw Group on Map: Adds a device group icon to the current map, labeled with the device group’s name.
Information Tip: For the maps of public device groups and personal device groups, the device group creator owns the map editing rights by default; for the maps of system device groups, the user who first opens the map owns the editing rights. See Map Editing Rights for more details.
