Each vendor usually has dozens of device models with different configuration formats. Consequently, each device type in the system may need multiple drivers to support. The Vendor Model function associates vendor model information and other properties for each device type. With this information, the system can issue specific commands to corresponding device models for data retrieval.
If a discovered device sysOID is not included in the vendor model list, it will be identified as an unclassified device in the Domain Manager. You need to log the information of this unclassified device in the vendor model list first and then rediscover the device.
1.Log into Tenant Management page.
2.Select MVS Configuration > Vendor Model. The supported device types in the system are displayed in the left pane and all available vendor models for this device type are displayed in the right area.
3.Use either way to add new entries in the table list.
1)Click Add at the upper-left corner of the table. A new dialog box prompts. 2)Enter the required information, such as OID, device type, vendor, and model. You can select the Auto Update check box to synchronize the data with NetBrain Application Servers. Tip: To add an unclassified device in the Domain Manager, copy the sysObjectID and paste it in the OID field. 3)Click Add. |
1)Create a .csv file in your local folder. For example: 2)Click Import at the upper-left corner of the table. 3)Select the .csv file you create and click Open. |
