Network Definition is used to specify drivers for specific devices. The system uses the SNMP strings to retrieve the system object ID when discovering a device, and then decides which device type and which driver will be used to obtain the device data.
Network Definition enables you to manually add the drivers for devices so that the devices can still be discovered by CLI when the SNMP access is not available.
Note: The devices or IPs defined in the Network Definition table do not support the Scan IP Range discovery method. When discovering them, you need to select the Discover via Seed Routers as the discovery method.
