The system provides you with a series of security measures to protect your confidential data. For example, you can set up a set of password policies to strengthen accounts security.
Note: The configured password policies only apply to all newly created users or modified users. Users that are imported from external user authentications do not comply with the settings.
1.Log into System Management page.
2.In the System Management page, select User Accounts > Password Policy.
3.On the Password Policy tab, configure the password policy based on your needs.
▪Minimum password length — specify the minimum length of the passwords between 6 and 128 characters.
▪Password expires after — specify the validity period of the passwords. The default value 0 indicates the passwords will never expire.
▪Set high level security password — select the check box to make the passwords obliged to meet at least three of the following requirements.
oContain upper letters (A - Z)
oContain lowercase letters (a - z)
oContain digits (0 - 9)
oContain non-alphabetic characters (! @ # $ % ^ & *)
▪Require password change at first login
▪Password cannot be same as username
▪New password cannot contain more than 2 consecutive characters of the old one
4.Click Save.
