The Intent Timer is a setting to control the frequency of decoding baseline data of devices for an intent and executing intent. You can configure when to update the baseline and execute the intent via Intent Timer.

- Create a new timer.
- Select an intent timer for the selected intent from all the intent timers in the system listed in the drop-down list below.
Select an intent timer to execute the intent:

- Select an intent timer for the intent from all the intent timers in the system listed in the drop-down menu below. The intent will always be executed at the frequency determined by the selected intent timer.
Tip: If you check the Via Probe check box, the selected intent will be triggered to run as scheduled by the intent timer, but only when the condition of the Probe is satisfied.
Enable Via Probe: Check the Via Probe checkbox.
If a preventive automation probe is set up for the intent, you can enable the Probe to trigger the intent execution as you select the intent timer for intent execution. The execution of the target intent will be scheduled by the intent timer and triggered by the associated Probe. See NIT Install to Probe for more information.
