Select Intent

To select and use the seed intent template/path-based NIT/ADT intent for intent replication, check the checkbox of the item in the left pane.

For different types of seed intent, different elements are selected and displayed.

• Select normal intent template: One normal intent template may have several associated devices. You can select one or more device from the device list of this intent.
• Select path intent template: One path intent template can have several associated paths. You can select one or more path from the path list of the intent.
• Select ADT intent: For ADT intent, you can select the ADT intent. ADT path and ADT map are also listed.   

Use Intent Not Included in Auto Intent

Apart from the intent templates already listed in Auto Intent, additional ones not installed and decoded in IBA Center can be added and used in Auto Intent. This offers more flexibility to use intents in Auto Intent. After the intent and device are added, new intent can be replicated on the selected device with the retrieved baseline data decoded from the selected intent template. The intents created in this way will be added to the “Manually Added” section.

1. Click Replicate Intent On-demand from the drop menu of the left pane.
   
   
2. Click Select, then select intent template for replicating intents from the pop-up Select Network Intent Template dialog. 
   
   
3. Select devices in the Replicate on Devices block to replicate intents on the selected devices (the devices that can be selected here are all the devices you have selected for filtering intents). You can also click + Add Device to add more devices.
   
   In this example, the first BGP device is newly added.
   
   
4. Click Ok. The intent template and device you selected will be added to the Manually Added section in the Auto Replicate Intent pane. 
   
   

Select Intent from the Auto Intent Folder

The system supports manually selecting seed intent within the scope of all the automation objects installed in the Auto Intent tab in the IBA center from the menu of the first pane. The search function is supported to find suitable intents.

To add intent from the Auto Intent Folder to the seed intent list, follow the steps below:

1. From the menu in the Select Intent Profile section, select the Select Intent from Auto Intent Folder option. 
2. In the pop-up dialog, select the intents/ADTs/paths needed. 
   

   Note: The intents/ADTs/ maps/paths cannot be directly opened from the Select Intent from Auto Intent Folder dialog.

3. Click OK to add the selected intents to the Manually Added section.
