Add Reference Map and Device Note

You can define a reference map for a saved path. The path reference map allows you to draw the golden baseline path on the map and use device notes to add key configlets or troubleshooting recommendations on the map.

For example:

Follow the steps below to add a reference map from the Path Map.

1. In the Path Details Pane, click the Reference Map.
2. from the Select Map dialog, go to Path Map and select the path you wish to add as a reference map.
3. Click OK to add the reference map.
   
   
4. Add device notes.
   1. Right-click on the device node, and select Device Note from the menu.
   2. Use notes to highlight:
      

      • Key configuration elements (configlets)

      • Troubleshooting tips or best practices.
