CLI Command Parameter

There is a special case for parsers that allow you to use the CLI command or SNMP OID with parameters. The following command, for example, can be used to get the spanning-tree status for a specific VLAN:

                                      show spanning-tree vlan $vlan_id detail

To define the parser variables with parameters in the commands, you must manually enter the parameter's value, so the system knows which command to issue when retrieving the data.  

Note: If a flash probe includes multiple interfaces, all the interfaces will use the same value for the parameter to retrieve the data.
