Runbook Template

The Runbook Template (RBT) contains a group of configured action nodes to share best practices and knowledge and the RBT editor is entirely the same as the common runbook, decreasing the learning curve and internal resource consumption. It is easier for users to use runbooks and edit/maintain runbook templates for knowledge sharing.

Main Use Flow

The RBT can be used in the following scenarios:

• Use Template to do the network Troubleshooting Template.
• Use Change Management Template to do the network change.
• Use template to do the network Assessment.

The main use flows are as follows:

Flow 1: Create RBT via Runbook

1. New a runbook.
2. Create an RBT.
3. Define the template variables and choose template items for each node.
4. Save this RBT.

Flow 2:  Create Runbook via RBT from RBT Manager

1. Select an RBT in manager and click Create Runbook.
2. Select the map type.
3. Set values for template variables (optional).
4. Create a runbook.
