Intent Execution Limitation without PA License

If PA license is not purchased, NetworkBrain assigns free license quota for trial to each feature. Each feature has a daily trial quota, and the trial quota for one feature cannot be used for another feature. Moreover, without PA license, the count of executed intents for each run in each feature is also limited.

Intent-based Automations features are classified into four categories to describe intent execution limitation without PA License, as shown in the table below.

No.

Note:

1. "Maximum 24 intents" in the right-most column indicates that users can execute a maximum of 24 intents per run, which includes both home intents and follow-up intents.

2. In the AI Bot, "Maximum 24 intents" means users can execute up to 24 intents in each question, which includes both home intents and follow-up intents. Users can schedule run a maximum of 1 intent per question without PA license, or up to 12 intents per question with PA license.

3. For Chatbot, it is limited to 24 intents per run, but with in one Chatbot session, users can run intents for unlimited times. The PA License trial Quota allows for 24 runtimes per day and is deducted each time the Chatbot is opened, regardless of whether a diagnosis is performed through the Chatbot.

What you can do when PA license is not purchased is explained in detail below.

Interactive Automation for troubleshooting

Limitations for Running Intents in Quick Intent, Auto Intent and Published Intent

It is allowed to run intents in these feature as many times as you like because there is no runtime limitation. However, when the intent is a wrapper intent (containing follow-up intent logic) as an intent template, you can only run a maximum of 24 intents for each run, including home intents and follow-up intents.

Limitations for Running Intent One by One

When run Intent one by one in the features NI View, Map Intent, Path Intent, Member Intent, Golden Intent, there is no PA license quota limitation. However, you can run a maximum of 24 intents (including follow-up intents) for each run.

Limitations for Running Intents within Runbook

When run intents in Runbook node, there is no runtime limitation. However, a maximum of 24 intents (including follow-up intents) can be executed each time one runbook node is executed.

Limitations for Running  intents within AI Bot

For running intents within AI Bot, you can execute up to 24 intents in each question, which includes both home intents and follow-up intents. There is no free quota limitation. This logic applies to both interactively running intents and schedule run intents in AI Bot.

Limitations for Schedule to Run Intent

When schedule to run intents in NetworkBrain, there is no PA license free quota limitation. However, a maximum of 24 intents (including follow-up intents) can be executed for each schedule run.

Limitations for Running Intent to Perform Golden Check in Golden Intent Pane

When intents are run to perform golden check in Golden Intent Pane, there is no free quota limitation. However, a maximum of 24 intents can executed for each run.

Packaged Intent Automation as Interactive Service

Limitations for Running Intents in Chatbot

For Chatbot, the free PA license quota allows for 24 runtimes per day, and one runtime will be used each time the Chatbot is opened, regardless of whether a diagnosis is performed through the Chatbot.

Limitations for Running Intents in Email-triggered Diagnosis

Running intents in Email-triggered Diagnosis is limited by PA License free quota (24 runtimes per day), and you can only run a maximum of 24 intents for each run, including home intents and follow-up intents.

Limitations for Running Intents in Self-service Diagnosis from Incident

Running intents in Self-service Diagnosis from Incident is limited by PA License free quota (24 runtimes per day), and you can only run a maximum of 24 intents for each run, including home intents and follow-up intents.

Limitations for Running Intents in Manual Diagnosis from ServiceNow

Running intents in Manual Diagnosis from ServiceNow is limited by PA License free quota (24 runtimes per day), and you can only run a maximum of 24 intents for each run, including home intents and follow-up intents.

Running Automation for Network Assessment

Limitations for Running Intents in Batch via NIC

Running intents in batch via NIC is limited by PA License free quota (24 runtimes per day), and you can only run a maximum of 24 intents for each run, including home intents and follow-up intents.

Limitations for Running ADT Intents (Once/Via Timer)

PA license does not provide free quota for running ADT intents by the "Run Intents Once" and "Run Intents via Timer" function (from ADT intent column menu). However, without PA License, you can run ADT intents in other scenarios, for instance, run ADT intents as follow-up diagnosis or schedule to run ADT intent.

Machine-to-Machine running of Automation

Limitations for Running Intents in TAF

Running intents trigged by TAF is limited by PA License free quota (24 runtimes per day), and a maximum of 24 intents for each run, including home intents and follow-up intents.

Limitations for PAF Installation

Defining and installing automation do not require PA license except for installing three types of probes (primary probe, Looking Glass probe, timer probe) to Preventive Automation (Trigger NIT / NIC / ADT Intents) as the Preventive Automation features has no free trial quota.

Limitations for Running Intents in Golden Engineering Studio

It is not allowed to run golden intent once in GES or run intents via timer in GES (Schedule tab) without PA license. No free quota is assigned for this.
