Device Type

Device Type refers to a group of devices categorized by the operating system for centralized management. Devices with the same or similar operating system versions are defined as one device type to share the same supported feature set.

Add a Device Type

  1. Log in to Tenant Management Page.
  2. In the Tenant Management page, click the Icon Description automatically generated icon in the upper-left corner and select Multi-vendor Support.

    3. Information Tip: To browse the supported operations for a specific device type, you can double-click an entry.
  3. Use either of the following ways to add a new device type.

Add entries manually

  1. Click Add at the upper-left corner of the table.
  2. Enter the required information, such as name, category, and device icon.
    Information Note: Whether the supported options that you select for a device type can work well is determined by many factors, such as Device Driver and the characteristics of devices.
  3. Click OK.

Import a .csv file

  1. Prepare a .csv file in your local folder. For example:
  2. Click Import at the upper-left corner of the table.
  1. Select the .csv file you create and click Open.
