Create an Intent Dashboard

Intent Dashboard provides an easy way to create a dashboard to view thousands of Intent results. To create a dashboard:
  1. Click the icon and select New Intent Dashboard. The Intent Dashboard Wizard will pop out.
  2. Fill in all the required fields of Dashboard Information and Data Source sections of the Intent Dashboard Wizard.

Dashboard Information

Define the following basic fields to configure the Intent Dashboard:
  1. Name: Enter the name for Intent Dashboard.
  2. Location: Select a folder from the Dashboard Manager to save the created intent Dashboard.
  3. Optionally check-in Use Template to create a dashboard using a saved template. Refer to Create a Dashboard using Intent Template more details.

Data Source

Depending on the method chosen in the Dashboard Information section, different configurations are provided under the Data Source tab. If a new Dashboard is being created, define the following intent data that you want to display on the Dashboard:

  1. Check-in either of the option Specified Intent or From Automation Data Table to select the source intent.
    • If Specified Intent is chosen: Click Select Intent to open the list of intents and choose one or multiple intents.

      Information Note: If a single intent is chosen, the name of the selected intent will be displayed. And if multiple intents are chosen, the number of selected intents will be displayed in the format, such as 7 intents.
    • To select an intent from Automation Data Table, do it as follow:
      1. select Automation Data Table option from the data Source drop down menu.
      2. Click Select ADT Table to open a window for selecting ADT.
      3. Choose the ADT and click OK.
      4. After selecting the ADT, choose one or multiple intent columns from the selected ADT to determine the scope of the intents.
         
      5. Check-in the Filter Intent by Devices option to filter the intents within the selected intent column.

        NOTE: If you do not check this option, all the intents in the selected intent column will be used as inputs for the Dashboard. 

         
      7. Using the Select Device interface, choose one or multiple devices.
      8. Select a device column for Device Key Column.

      9. Information NOTE: The selected devices will match the devices in the Device Key Column. And the intents from the corresponding intent column of the matched ADT rows will be used as inputs for the Dashboard.

  2. Set the Time Range for displaying the results on the Dashboard. The default selection is Last 7 Days.
  3. Check-in Include Triggered Intent Results option to display the results of follow-up intent. If it is not checked, only the results of the selected intent will be shown. This option is checked by default.
  4. Once you complete the configuration in the wizard, click Create to create the intent Dashboard.
