Setup Preventive Automation

The preventive automation system is an intelligent trigger that enables various types of automation without human intervention. An preventive automation system leverages flash probes as monitoring units to detect the data anomaly that occurs on a single device via SNMP/CLI data polling and advanced anomaly analysis algorithms. As soon as an anomaly is detected, the system will take immediate action to execute the pre-defined network intents.

Information Note: In addition to the built-in flash probe, the preventive automation system can also be integrated with the 3rd party monitoring systems. See Defining API Triggered Flash Automation for more details.

The system can handle massive automation resources by executing device-level automation (triggered by the flash probe). NetworkBrain users can create and upload their automation resources, and the automation results can be viewed across the entire team via the Execution Tree or the Preventive Automation Console.

Information Note: The preventive automation automation is controlled by the IBA license module. Without the IBA license, you can only execute the intents up to a free quote.

The recommended way to build Preventive Automation Framework is through ADT and the main flow are as follows:

Additionally, there are other ways to set up preventive automation in certain scenarios. Such as Probe Triggered Intent / Intent Template / Intent Cluster without using ADT table.
