Back Up Site Definition

It might take a while to rebuild all sites if you have a large network to manage. In case of any unexpected network outage, you can back up all site definitions into a .zip file before rebuilding sites, and then import them back afterward to avoid losing site data.

1. Log in to the Domain Management page and click Site on the Start Page to open Site Manager.
2. In the Site Manager, right-click the My Network node in the site tree and select Backup Site Definition from the drop-down menu.
3. The default location of the exported file is C:\Users\<your username>\Downloads.
   
   

   Tip: To import the backup file, right-click the My Network node and then select Load Site Definition. Select the .zip file and click Open. The current site definition will be overwritten.
