Apply Default Data Source to Automation
Use Default Data Source in Intent Settings
In Intent Settings in intent definition, you can set the default data source at domain level as the data source for intent execution. By default, each intent is set to use the default data source in domain for intent execution, provided it is enabled in Domain Management. You can also uncheck the Use default data source defined in domain if available checkbox and a specific the data source for intent execution.
Here are several rules of Date Source in Intent Settings
- In Playground system, the default data source defined at the domain level is automatically used for intent execution. However, these settings can be modified as needed.
- In a non-Playground system, the default data source in domain is not enabled by default. Users must manually enable it at the domain level if they wish to use it for intent execution.
- When intent is cloned, the cloned intents inherit the data source settings of the seed intent.

Use Default Data Source in Intent Execution
In Intent Execution Settings, the default data source configured at domain level directly affects the data source used for intent execution by applying the domain-level default data source to the Execution Settings.

Use Default Data Source in Intent Replication
In Intent Replication Settings, the default data source configured at the domain level is automatically applied to intent execution settings, if enabled.

Use Default Data Source in Decoding Settings
Decoding Settings are configured when installing NIT in IBA center. In Decoding Settings, the selected data source will be saved. The existing decoding settings are not influenced. The default data source configured at the domain level will be automatically applied to new decoding settings when enabled.
