Supporting Variables

Supporting variables contain a group of key metrics referenced or defined in a data view template definition, including:

• Built-in variable (GDR property)
• CLI/SNMP/API/Configuration Parser variable
• Compound variable
• Input variable

Supporting variables can be used as or applied to:

• Device/interface positions.
• Device/interface notes.
• Device/interface highlights.
• Referenced as a variable to define the conditions for recommended automations.
• Conditions to control the display of variables, device/interface notes, device/interface highlights, and device-level recommended automations.
  

  Note: Supporting variables belong to the data view template level, and can be used in all branches of a data view template.
