The following table lists the properties of a variable after it is placed on a device/interface position.

Description |
---|---|
Display Conditions |
Set conditions to control when to display a variable in a data view. ▪The default value - Always Display, indicating the current variable will be displayed under any circumstances. ▪If you select an option variable as a condition, then the current variable will be only displayed when the value of the selected variable is: oNon-empty (for string type) oNot equal to 0 (for number type) oequal to true (for boolean type) Note: Whether a supporting variable of the current data view template can be selected to define the display conditions depending on the selected position. Both device-level variables and input variables apply to device positions; interface-level variables only apply to interface positions. Note: Table-type and list-type variables cannot be used as conditions. |
Display Settings |
Modify the display setting of a variable for a clear understanding. ▪Prefix — a label added in front of the variable to help understand the meaning of the variable on a map. ▪Unit — a unit added after the variable as measurements on a map. For example, % and kbps. ▪Table Title — the name of the table type parser variables displayed on a map. ▪Select Table Variables — clear the check box to exclude some unwanted sub-variables from the table-type variable or modify the default display name of some sub-variable. |
Enable or disable the dynamic golden baseline calculation for the variable. Note: This setting only applies to parser variables. |
|
Show the conditions to control when to recommend a drill-down action on a map. ▪Always (default) indicates the action will be displayed on a map under any circumstances. ▪Golden Baseline Alert indicates the action will only be displayed on a map when this variable has alerts compared with Golden Baseline. ▪If you select an option variable as a condition, then the action will be only displayed when the value of the selected variable is: oNon-empty (for string type) oNot equal to 0 (for number type) oequal to true (for boolean type) Note: Whether a supporting variable of the current data view template can be selected to define the display condition for a drill-down action depends on the selected position. Interface variables cannot be selected to define the condition for a device-level drill-down action; while device variables can be selected to define the condition for an interface-level drill-down action. Note: Table-type and list-type variables cannot be used as conditions. |
|
Drill-down Actions |
The name of the drill-down actions correlated with the variable. Each variable can correlate with multiple drill-down actions. |
Input |
Configure the input of the action so that it can directly run on a map. See Syntax for Defining Action Input for more details. |
Target Devices |
Configure the device scope to run the action. See Syntax for Defining Target Device for more details. |
Description |
Describe the drill-down action about its function or purpose. |
