Supporting variables contains a group of key metrics referenced or defined in a data view template definition, including:

▪Built-in variable (GDR property)

▪CLI/SNMP/API/Configuration Parser variable

▪Compound variable

▪Input variable

 

Supporting variables can be used as or applied to:

▪Device/interface positions.

▪Device/interface notes.

▪Device/interface highlights.

▪Referenced as a variable to define the conditions for drill-down actions.

▪Conditions to control the display of variables, device/interface notes, device/interface highlights, and device-level drill-down actions.

Note: Supporting variables belong to the data view template level, and can be used in all branches of a data view template.
