When discovering network devices, the system uses SNMP strings to retrieve sysObjectID and then decides which device type and which driver can be used to obtain the device data. When SNMP access is not available for some devices, you can manually add definitions to associate drivers with device types, so that these devices can be discovered via CLI commands.
1.Log in to the Domain Management page.
2.In the Domain Management page, select Operations > Discover Settings > Network Definition from the quick access toolbar.
3.On the Network Definition tab, use either way to add new entries to the table:
1)Click Add. The Associate Device Type and Driver dialog opens. 2)Enter a single IP address or an IP range. For example, 10.13.100.21-10.13.100.40 representing an IP range from 10.13.100.21 to 10.13.100.40. Note: Use a semicolon to separate IP address segments. 3)Select the device type and the device driver that you want to apply to the matched devices. 4)Click Save to save the settings. |
