To enhance map collaboration in the use of Integrated Edition and provide the compatibility with map files in Enterprise Edition, importing maps with a certain degree of data integrity is supported, including EE site maps. Only the users with the Domain Management privilege can import maps into a domain.

▪Import an IE map — if the included devices already exist in your domain, the device data in your domain will be overwritten with the imported one.

Note: The customized properties will not be included unless the same attributes are also defined in the Global Data Repository of your tenant.

▪Import an EE map — you can migrate map objects (such as displayed device icons, links and data units) to your domain, but other map data or device data is not included. By importing maps, EE site maps can be migrated to IE.

Note: To migrate an EE site map, the map name must be the same with an IE site. If the corresponding IE site map has already been opened, or more than one sites have the same name with the EE site map, the migration will fail.

Follow the instructions below to import maps into IE.

1.Click Files on the taskbar.

2.Expand the folder tree, right-click the target folder and select Import Maps.

Note: You cannot import maps to the Shared with me folder.

3.Click Select maps from your computer, select your local maps by pressing the Ctrl or Shift key on your keyboard, and click Open. The selected maps are listed in the table.

▪Auto-rename duplicated map files — auto-rename map files if they have the same name with existing map files in the current directory. If you want to skip duplicate maps, uncheck this option.

Tip: To delete a map from the table, point to the file entry and then click the icon.

4.Click Import. After the map files are processed, the summary will be displayed and you can view the result of each entry in detail.

5.Click Finish. If you want to rebuild topology instantly with the imported map data, click Domain Management in the notification box to execute a benchmark task. See Benchmark Task Settings for more details.

Tip: You can also manually build topology later. See Rebuilding Topology for more details.

Tip: Successfully migrated EE site maps are not listed in the Files pane.

Tip: If the map is an EE site map, the editing rights will be unclaimed; otherwise, the user who imports a map has its editing rights by default.
