Lock/Unlock ADT

To avoid mis-operations on the ADT data, ADT can be locked/unlocked by its creator or other users with corresponding privilege.

For each ADT table, the creator of ADT can turn on the Locking function and set a locking mode (With Password/Without Password). A locked ADT is in View-Only mode and can be edited after entering the password. Lock annotation can be added to provide detailed lock information.

Information Note: The creator and users with the Shared Resource and File Management privilege can lock an ADT.

To lock an ADT, follow the steps below:

  1. Select the target ADT in ADT Manager, then click Lock Settings from the drop-down menu of the ADT.
Information Note: You can also click the icon to define the lock settings for ADT.
  2. From the Lock Settings dialog, turn on the Lock function, then define the following settings:
    Select a Lock mode:
  • With Password (default): Enter and confirm password in the corresponding field.
Users with authorization can open or edit ADT after entering the correct password. Domain admin can operate on a locked ADT without entering a password.
  • Without Password: Other users cannot open the ADT and must contact its creator to resolve this issue.

  2. Click OK to finish lock settings of ADT.
