Map Intent Flow by Example
The main flow of Map Intent is as follows:
- A power user creates Map Intent for a shared core map in the domain, e.g., a site map.
- In future network troubleshooting, a network engineer opens the site map and finds the pre-defined Map Intent to view the design or the troubleshooting steps.
- The user can also use Published Intents or Auto Intent to troubleshoot further.
Power User Create Map Intent
A power user can open a core site map and select a Network Intent in Template Mode (NIT) to create Map Intent for future network troubleshooting. See Create Map Intent for more details.
Network Engineers Use the Map Intent
A network engineer opens the site map, finds the pre-defined Map Intent, then runs it to see detailed results.
The Map Intent is associated with the specific page where the corresponding Map Network Intent (NI) was created. As shown in the images, Page 1 and Page 2 contain different Network Intents.
Use Published Intents or Auto Intent
The user can also use Published Intents or Auto Intent to troubleshoot further.
