R12.1 Project-2025Sep08
Make a copy of the map
You can create your personal map by copying a shared map (the master map) that you do not own. It allows you to save your own version, make changes, and share your findings without affecting the master map. Personal maps facilitate better collaborations by enabling individual contributions while preserving the original content.

Note: A personal map is linked to its master map. If the master map is deleted, all associated personal copies are also deleted. |
Personal Map User Flows
You can create a personal map and use it for better collaboration with the following steps:
- Create Your Personal Map : To make changes to your personal map without impacting the master map.
- Switch Map Copies: To see others' map copies and related runbooks.
Facilitate Collaborations
A personal map can facilitate two types of collaboration:
- Real-time collaboration: User B saves a map owned by user A as a personal copy and shares this personal copy with user A. User A can see any changes and actions user B makes in this personal copy.
- Non-real-time collaboration: Users create their personal copy maps from a shared site map.
