Fix-up Route Table
If route tables cannot be retrieved from the live network or do not contain sufficient information to calculate A/B paths, you can manually create a fix-up route table to enable path calculation.
For example, you can add a fix-up route table for CA-YVR-R2 to calculate the path to US-SMF-R1.
- On a map, right-click the target device CA-YVR-R2, and select View Device Data > Fix-up Route Table.
- In the Fix-up Route Table pane, click Add to define new route entries.
Tip: By default, the Has priority over Route Table checkbox is selected, which means the fix-up route table is used in path calculation instead of the route table retrieved from your live network. - Enter the destination IP address in the Destination Subnet field.
- Enter the Subnet Mask.
Note: The value should be an integer between 0 and 32. - Select an Outbound Interface for CA-YVR-R2.
- Enter the Next-Hop IP address.
- Click OK.
- Recalculate the path.
