Data Source for Retrieving Data in Parser

When retrieving data as a sample text, you can select the preferred data source from the available options.

• Live Data: Retrieve live data.
  • Use Active Cache: This function can be enabled only when Live Data is selected. All live retrieved data is added/updated into a global Active Cache for future live data requests. With this function enable, live data retrieval from devices occurs only when cache data is unavailable or outdated. This function aims to safeguard network devices against excessive Telnet/SSH requests.
    

    Note: By default, Live Data is selected with the Use Active Cache function enabled.

• Cached Data: The most recent current baseline or data stored in the decoding engine. 
• ADT Dataset: Use the command data from dataset. Click Select, then select a dataset in your domain. 
  

Also, you can select historical data from the Retrieve button pull-down menu without live data retrieval. 

• The data labelled Recent: Get the baseline data that is most recently cached. 
• The data labelled Schedule: Get the command data from scheduled Benchmark task, which is updated in ADT.
