Create Guidebook
You can create a Guidebook by clicking +New Guidebook. To create a Guidebook, define the following settings:
- Define Meta Data

Select Data View Template or Define Hypothesis to Associate with Runbook Template, Network Intent and Network Intent Cluster
Note: For the newly created Guidebook to be displayed, the following must be done:
- The system completes the qualification.
- After the qualification, you must manually refresh the Guidebook or re-open the Guidebook.
Define Meta Data
When creating or editing a Guidebook, you must define its metadata. This information helps categorize and organize the Guidebook across your automation workflows.
- Guidebook Name
- Guidebook Category
- Pre-qualification: This setting is similar to the Pre-qualification feature in the Runbook Template. For more information, refer to Targeting Device Scope for Runbook.

Description: A brief summary explaining the purpose and functionality of the Guidebook.
Select Data View Template
To add a Data View Template to your guidebook, follow these steps:
- Click +Add Automation, then select Add Data View Template from the menu.
- In the Select Data View Template window, choose the desired template from the list.

Click OK to confirm your selection.
Define Hypothesis to Associate with Runbook Template, Network Intent and Network Intent Cluster
Follow these steps to define the hypothesis and to associate it with Runbook Template, Network Intent and Network Intent Cluster
- Click +Add Automation and select Add Hypothesis.

In the Add Hypothesis window, you can either:
- Select an existing Hypothesis from other Guidebooks, or

Create a new Hypothesis.
Tip: Once the Hypothesis is selected, all the associated Runbook Template(s), Network Intent(s) and Network Intent Cluster(s) from the other Guidebooks will be displayed. You can choose whether to add the Runbook Template(s)/Network Intent(s)/Network Intent Cluster(s) to the current Guidebook.

After the hypothesis is added to the Guidebook, click
to open the the Recommended Automation Details window.

In the corresponding window, click +Add Automation to select Network Intent, Network Intent Cluster or Runbook Template.
- Select one of the automation node and click Save. The note will be displayed above the connecting line.
