Update a Map

After you create and save a map, changes in the live network such as device connectivity updates may cause the map data to become outdated.

To update the map using the latest data from the Current Baseline, click Update Map on the Map toolbar. The map is automatically updated and saved with the latest information.

	Note: Only the user who has the editing rights of the map file can update it.

The following content will be updated on the map:

Network Objects: Includes devices, MPLS clouds, sites, device groups, media, and stencils.
For example, If a device is removed from the domain, it will also be removed from the map along with its connected links.
Links (Topology): Represents the connectivity between devices and sites on the map.
For example, If the connected interfaces between two devices change, the map updates to show the new interface connections.
Data View: Displays device data on the map, such as CPU usage or interface protocol information.
Map Layout (applies only to site and device group maps): Updates the positions of devices on the map to reflect layout changes.
