Build Base Table via Map & Map Intent
When to build ADT by selecting Map and Map Intent?
Map and map intents have been created to document the network infrastructure and critical design. From these maps, users can build an ADT for 5 types of events (TAF, PAF, Follow-up diagnosis, Chatbot, and Auto Intent). With this ADT, the system can find related site maps for an event by matching the ADT column data and the event data, then run the associated map intents for troubleshooting network problems.
Base Table via Map and Map Intent
To build the base table with map intent data and map properties, follow the steps below:
Prerequisites: Create maps and save the maps in a map folder.
- Go to Automation Data Table Manager, then create a new table and name it (for example, Security Zones of Network).
- Click Table Builder in the ADT to open Automation Data Table Builder.
- Under the Define Base Table tab, define the following settings:
- Select Method to Build Base Table: Select Other Object > Map and Intent method.
- Description: Input descriptions for the base table to describe its use and function, for example "Security Zones-map".
- Map Folders and Maps: Select the created maps for building the base table. You can choose map or a map folder to select all devices in the map folder.
- Mapping Available Fields to Column Group: Drag and drop the available fields to the column group definition area to create ADT columns automatically.
Select fields from the following field categories in this area:
Field Type | Fields | Description |
Built-in Field |
| The built-in fields are created from map properties. |
Intent Data Field |
| The intent data fields are created from the intent details of the map intent. |
- Click Save to save all the settings. But table data will not be built.
- Click Save and Build. The Build Table dialog appears, define the settings as per your preferences. The system will save the settings and build the table data.
In the final ADT, the Map Intent column displays a map page intent, showing the page intent that matches the map’s default page.
