Define Discover MAC List

The Discover MAC List contains the MAC address that must be used to create a VLAN group.

Information Note: Take caution when editing the Discover MAC List since this may greatly impact the Topology calculation. Contact NetBrain Support if you are not sure.

The Use Case for Discover MAC List

   

Manage the Discover Mac List

Follow the steps to define the Discover MAC List:

  1. Log in to the Domain Management page.
  2. Click Data Accuracy Resolution.
  3. Under the Network and Topology folder, click Discover MAC List.
  4. Click Add to add the MAC address.
    Information Note: If the MAC address already exists in the Black MAC List, it cannot be added to the Discover MAC List

  5.  After the MAC address is added, you can manage the list by:

  • Edit an entry
  • Delete an entry

You can also click to Import or click Export the Discover Mac List.

Information Tip: If uncertain of the import format, you can export the list > fill in the data > import the list.
