Auto Intent Profile

In the Auto Intent Profile tab in IBA center, power user can build profile structure (in the left pane of the Auto Intent Profile tab) with the intents enabled for auto intent. It will enable end users to filter auto intents by profile. One auto intent can be added to multiple profiles and can be reorganized based on different intent characteristics (such as the function of the intent and use scenario of intent).

Build Profile Structure

You can build a profile structure by adding new profile nodes under the following two nodes, and then add intents to the created profile:

  1. Shared Profiles: Profiles created under this node are shared with other users.

  2. My Profiles: You can create your private profiles under this node, and they are not shared with other users.

Information NoteYou can move the profiles under the Shared Profiles and My Profiles to each other.

Add and Define a Parent Profile Node

  1. Go to Intent Based Automation Center > Auto Intent Profile.
  2. Select either Shared Profiles or My Profiles folder in the left pane.
  3. Click +Add Profile, a parent profile node with a temporary name will be added to the profile structure in the left pane.  
  4. Define the parent profile basic information in the right pane. 
    • Name: Input the profile name, for example "Troubleshooting".
    • Description: Input description for the profile. 
  5. Click + Add in the Included NITs/ADTs block, and then select all the required intents and ADT's from the pop-up dialog.
  6. Click OK in the dialog to save the selection and close the dialog.

  7. The selected intents/ADTs will be added as an entry to the Included NITs/ADTs block. Click Save to complete the settings and add a parent profile node.

Add and Define a Child Profile Node

  1. Click Add Profile from a drop-down menu of the parent profile node in the left pane. a child profile node with a temporary name will be added under this parent profile node.
  2. Define the child profile basic information in the right pane.
    • Name: Input the profile name, for example "Network Failover".
    • Description: Input description for the profile.
  3. Click + Add in the Included NITs/ADTs block, then select an intent to be added to the profile in the pop-up dialog. Click OK in the dialog. The selected intent will be added as an entry to the Included NITs/ADTs block.


  4. Click Save to complete the settings and add a child profile node.

Information

Note: After a profile is selected in the left pane, all the intents included in the profile are listed in the NITs/ADTs block in the right pane. You can click  to remove an entry from the table.
