Platform Validation

Platform Validation (PV) checks the data accuracy by executing a set of rules called PV Rule (PVR). Unlike System Validation which checks the live access status of devices, Platform Validation verifies the accuracy and completeness of device data, such as checking the device management IP or verifying the last update time for system tables. The PVR is created only by NetBrain Platform Engineers using a Python script file.

• A PVR has a unique error code, error message, and recommended actions.
• The validation rules are displayed and managed in the Validation Rules tab in Data Accuracy Discovery.
• The validation results are displayed in the Dashboard tab in Data Accuracy Discovery.
