Creating the Required NetBrain User Accounts

NetBrain requires two custom user accounts to be created and available in the NetBrain system prior to ServiceNow integration.

Creating the NetBrain API User

1.Log in to NetBrain Administrator Interface (https://<NetBrain IP Address or Hostname>/admin.html) with an account that has System Admin privileges.

2.In the NetBrain System Management page, click User Accounts.

3.In the User Accounts screen, click Add, then enter the following values:

Field/Setting	Value
Email	[email protected]
First Name	API
Last Name	API
Username	API
Password	<Enter Password>
Confirm Password	<Re-Enter Password>
Authentication Type	Local/NetBrain
Allowed to change individual password	Uncheck this check box
User Rights	Select the Tenant listed, then select the Domain to be integrated with ServiceNow. Assign Power User domain privileges.

4.Click Submit to create the API account.

Note: It is safe to ignore any warning dialog message presented indicating a failure to send a notification email.

5.With the NetBrain API user account created, log out of the NetBrain System Admin User Interface.

6.Using the NetBrain API user credentials, confirm that you can log in to the NetBrain End User Interface and update the password if prompted.

Authentication Type	Local/NetBrain
Allowed to change individual password	Uncheck this check box
User Rights	Select the Tenant listed, then select the Domain to be integrated with ServiceNow. Assign Guest domain privileges.

4.Click Submit to create the Embed-Map account.

Note: It is safe to ignore any warning dialog message presented indicating a failure to send a notification email.

5.In the User Accounts screen, right-click the Embed-Map account, and then select Set as Embed-Map-User.

6.With the NetBrain Embed-Map user account created, log out of the NetBrain Administrator User Interface.
