Shared Device Settings store the information used to access a device. By default, the information is collected from the first successful discovery for the device.
Note: In further maintenance, the information can be changed via tuning live access or rediscovery unless you lock it.
The following table introduces the fields in Shared Device Settings:
Field |
Description |
Management IP |
The IP address of the device that will be accessed by Front Server. The first ping-able interface IP address during the first-time discovery is set as the management IP address by default. |
Front Server/Front Server Group |
The Front Server or Front Server Group responsible for accessing the device or external API server to retrieve data. Tip: The selected Front Server is synchronized with the device allocation changes in Shared Network Settings or API Server Manager. |
Access Method |
The method to retrieve device data, including CLI, SNMP, and API. |
Access Credentials |
The credentials used to access the device. |
Prompt Settings |
The interactive CLI prompts for device login. See Configuring Interactive CLI Prompts for more details. |
