Parser Library is used to store and manage built-in parsers and customized parsers. A parser in Parser Library can be directly used to retrieve and parse data in other modules.

Working with Parser Library

1.Click the start menu and select Parser Library. The Parser Library pane contains the following three categories by default:

▪Built-in Parsers — contains the pre-installed parser files. This category is accessible to all users but can only be modified by system administrators. It includes the following four types of parser files:

oCLI Command — used to parse data retrieved via CLI commands.

oConfiguration — used to parse data from configuration files.

oSNMP — used to parse data retrieved via SNMP commands.

oAPI — used to retrieve and parse data from external systems or SDN controllers via rest APIs.

▪Shared Parsers in Tenant — contains parser files that are accessible to all users in this tenant.

▪My Parsers — contains parser files that are only accessible to yourself. You can find your private parsers in all accessible domains under one tenant.

2.Point to a parser file and click the icon to preview it.

Creating a Folder in Parser Library

1)Point to a folder in the left pane, click the icon and select New Folder from the drop-down menu.
A new folder will be created in the left pane.

2)Rename the folder directly.
Importing Parsers into Parser Library

1)Point to a folder in the left pane, click the icon and select Import Parser from the drop-down menu.

2)Click Add Files on the pop-up page and select the target parser files from your local folder. Click OK.

Note: If the destination already contains a parser file with the same name as the target file, the Overwrite check box will be auto-selected.

3)Click Upload. The import status of each parser file is displayed.

4)Click OK.
Exporting parsers from Parser Library

1)Point to a parser file in the Parser Library, then click the icon and select Export from the drop-down menu.

2)Check the exported parser file. The default file location is C:\Users\<your username>\Downloads.

Saving a Parser to Another Destination

1)Point to a parser file in the Parser Library, click the icon and select Save as from the drop-down menu.

2)Rename the parser and select another folder in the Parser Library.

3)Click OK to save the parser to the selected folder.

Tip: The original parser file will not be changed.
