Manually Add a Hash Tag Using String Match or Subnet Match

There are two types of Hash Tags based on source: System Generated and Manually Created. For Manually Created Hash Tags, there are three Match Types: string match, regex match and subnet match.

Follow the steps below to add a Manually Created Hash Tag using String Match or Subnet Match:

Step 1: Click on +Add Hash Tag. A new Hash Tag with a default name will be added to the list.

Step 2: Click on the newly created Hash Tag to show and edit the Hash Tag details. Change the name and description based on the use case.

Step 3: Set the Primary Tag name. By default, the Primary Tag name is the same as the Hash Tag name; you can also enter a different name.

Step 4: Select the Match Type from the drop-down list.

Step 5: Click on Add Entry to add an entry of value for Primary Tag and Associated Tags to the list. The value of the Primary Tag needs to be unique within a Hash Tag.

Step 6: (Optional)Click on the number besides Associated Tags to open the Associated Tags window. All the Associated Tags for this Hash Tag can be viewed, edited, and deleted in this window. Click on +Add to add a new Associated Tag for this Hash Tag.
