Define Incident Type to Classify Different Sources

You can select which incident type to use based on different scenarios.

  • Incoming Incident Type: To integrate with 3rd party ticket systems to trigger diagnoses. API calls from a 3rd party system must be classified by incoming incident type.
  • Virtual Incident Type
    • Define virtual incident types for Teams ChatBot, Self-service and Email triggers to trigger diagnoses.
    • Define a virtual incident type for a specific purpose and associate it with an incoming incident type to scale up TAF.
