Manage and Organize NIT

By default, the Installed Intent Templates pane will open as you access IBA center.


All the installed NITs are organized by groups in the form of a table, which includes the following columns:

  • Intent Template Name: Name of the NIT. You can click the intent name of an item (the link to the NIT, which will navigate to the NI Editor) to view intent details in the View Mode, where you can click Edit to modify the intent.
  • Location: The location where the NIT is stored in the system.  
    • For Common Intent, its path in the Network Intent Manager is displayed.
    • For Map Intent, the Map name is displayed.
  • Intent Decoding: The decoding status of this intent. See Intent Decoding for more information.
    • Last Decoded at: The intent has been decoded and tested. The time in this column is the last time to decode this intent.
    • Aborted at: The decoding process is aborted, and the time of aborting the process is displayed,
    • Finished without testing at: The decoding process is finished without testing the decoding results. The time of finishing the process is displayed.
  • Decoded Device: The number of devices decoded. 
  • Auto Intent: Indicates whether the Auto Intent function is enabled. The icon means that the NIT is enabled for Auto Intent,  
  • Cloned Intents: The number of cloned intents generated from this intent.

In the Installed Intent Templates pane, the following basic operations are supported:

  • Refresh NITs in the table: Click Refresh to refresh the intent templates listed in the Installed Intents Templates pane.
  • Search NITs: Search for intents by entering search keywords (eligible search keywords are group name, intent template name, location, and intent decoding) in the search bar to find desired intents.
  • Define decoding settings for NIT:
    1. Select an NIT from the left pane,
    2. In the right side pane , choose an intent decoding mode.
    3. Select the data source in the Decoding Settings and click OK.
    4. Click Apply to save the settings.

      Information Note: In the Cloned Intents tab, you can v iew the intents cloned from the selected NIT.

      Information Note: You can hide and unhide the right pane by clicking  at the upper-right corner. 
  • Move NITs: Click Move To from the drop-down menu of an intent item and select a group from the folder list to the right to move the intent to another group.

  • Delete NITs: Select Delete from the drop-down menu of an intent item to delete the intent.
    A message will pop up to ask you to confirm the delete operation.

    After this operation:
    • The selected intent item is removed from the IBA Center. This operation does not delete the intent itself (you can delete an intent from the Intent Manager). 
    • The tasks related to the deleted intent in the decoding engine and baseline engine are removed.
    • The deleted intent will not be displayed in the Auto Intent pane on a map.
  • Apply Intent Decode Setting to: Click Apply Intent Decode Setting to from the drop-down menu of an NIT, select some NITs to apply the decoding settings of the current NIT to the selected NITs.
