Email Change Analysis Report

You can set up a schedule to receive the Change Analysis (CA) report via email. When you schedule an email alert, the system will inform the email recipient with a summary of the CA report, such as the comparison inputs, the comparison results, and the involved tenant. You can receive the email with a CA report attached to it.

To configure the Email Alert, do as follows:

  1. Go to the start menu  and select Change Analysis Report from the drop-down list.
  2. In the Change Analysis Report pane, Click Email Settings to open a pop-up window Email Task Manager.

  3. Click to open a new window “Add Email Task”.

  4. In the Add Email Task window, fill out the following details to create an email task associated with the CA report:
    • Task type: The email task type is selected as Change Analysis by default.

      Tip: You can change the task type to “Validation” if you want an email alert about the same.

    • Task Name: Add a name to the email task for your reference.
    • Device Scope: You can add individual devices or add devices by site or device group.
    • Data Type Scope: If Change Analysis is selected as the email task type, the Data Type Scope can be selected from the three options:
      • All Data Types,
      • Built-in live Data and
      • Configuration File
    • Email Settings: Set the time zone, frequency for sending email, and email recipients.

      Note: The interval between sending two consecutive emails is only determined by the two scheduled time for the email tasks.

    • Attach Report in Email: Enable the check box “Attach Report in Email” to attach the CA report with the email.
  5. Click OK to save and close the Add Email Task window.
  6. Select Close in the Email Task Manager to go back to CA Report pane.
