Create a Network Dashboard from Map
To create a network dashboard from a map, you can run a dashboard template from a map directly. All devices on the map are added to the device scope of the Network Dashboard automatically.
Example: Create a network dashboard from the OSPF Neighbors and Running Status [Cisco IOS] template.
- Create a map and draw target devices on the map, or open a map file.
- On the map page, click Network from the map toolbar and select Network Dashboard> OSPF Neighbors and Running Status [Cisco IOS] from the drop-down list.
A new network dashboard is created targeting all devices on the map. The Map Widget immediately loads the map contents. The ConfigLet by Config Parser Widget immediately presents the OSPF configlet of a single device with the data in the current baseline.
- At the upper-left corner, click Run to retrieve live data for other widgets associated with a Qapp. By default, all widgets except for the Map Widget display data for one single device.
Tip: To make these static widgets present live data, see Retrieve Live Data for more details. - To browse the data of another device, click the
icon in any of the widgets and select the target device from the drop-down list. The other widgets will synchronize with this change immediately.
- Adjust your Network Dashboard with more settings based on your needs, such as adding widgets, updating device scope, and unlinking widgets. See Network Dashboard Settings for more details.
- Click the
icon to save the Network Dashboard.
Note: Closing a network dashboard page in your web browser will not terminate a recurring dashboard's execution (the system will keep retrieving the data in the backend). To terminate the execution, you need to click Stop.
